A long penant news item

The Simpson Cup season kicked off at the Vines on a day with changeable weather with the  matches starting on the 10th. The team looked fantastic in the new Footjoy kit, sponsored by  Living Choice Flagstaff Hill and Ray White Real Estate - Flagstaff Hill. Player availability saw a  mixture of veterans along with two debutantes to the A’s in Sam Conlen and Aaron Shepherd.  Playing the winners of last year’s Simpson Cup was never going to be easy and the final score  card doesn’t reflect how well the lads played, and that for much of the day we were actually in  the mix with several players square or up at the turn. Without any doubt, the team did Flaggy  proud against tough competitors.
